Drawing Robots at FIRST

At the FIRST robotics competition, student teams compete head-to-head on a special playing field with robots they have designed, built, and programmed. We created a space for young innovators to escape the stress of a high-stakes competition at creation stations staffed by a fleet of drawing robots. Each “Wattbot” made a unique pattern that could be adjusted with dials, inviting playful exploration, imagination and teamwork.

The activation resulted in one-of-a-kind artworks that guests could take home in both physical and digital formats. Over the event’s three days, the branded activation immersed thousands in curiosity and creativity, stimulating bright minds of the future to pursue expressive applications of their STEM education.
